Description Slender tree, about 6 m high, smooth grey brown cauliflorous stem (lower part), inflorescence dense brown-corky, calyx pale brown, petals dull red with pale green midrib and tip, paler inside, connate filaments dull pink, anthers pale dull brownish, young fruits brownish with green tipped red cusp (? style), branches smooth, shiny pale brown, leaves thickly papery, smooth shiny bright to dark green above, pale greenish silvery with prom. midrib below.
Habitat Formely exploited high forest near pygmée village.
