| Description | Tree, c. 30 m high. Diameter 55 cm. Trunk with buttresses up to c. 4 m height. Slash with creamy white latex. Leaves and fruits from forest floor. Leaves leathery, upper side somewhat glossy, dark green, lower side dull, medium green with golden brown hairs. Fruits attached to older branches, ovoid, up to 8 x 7 cm, orange. Cross-section of fruit orange-red. Seeds (5-6) with a pale yellow aril. Seeds dark brown. Endosperm white, cotyls greenish white. |
