| Description | Hemiparasitic shrub with lianescent pending twigs, several (up to at least 3) meters long, parasitizing a Combretum (2859) at a height of c. 15 m. Leaves leathery, upper side glossy, dark green, lower side glossy, medium green. Calyx pale green. In unopened flowers corolla in lower 3/5 white, getting then purple-red ending in a small dark purple head. After opening lobes curl up only for the purple-coloured part. Filaments pale greenish red. Style very pale green, stigma dirty yellow. |
