| Description | Tree, 18 m high, dbh 12½ cm. Bark smooth with vertical lines of lenticels. Slash granularly, creamy brown, outer bark dark brown, very thin, when peeled outside of inner bark chestnut brown-red. Sapwood whitish. Leaves only in top of tree, 13-16-jugate, rachis 120-160 long. Fruits cauliflorous on trunk at c. 10-14 m height. Bracts brownish green. Fruits obovoid, 7 x 7 x 5½ cm, greenish brown, partly with white, mealy looking, hairs. Fruits 6-7 loculate. Seeds white with a yellow-orange seed coat or aril. |
